I joined a panel discussion today at Sultan Qaboos University on “Children’s Literature: Reality and Expectations.” The panel discussed Children’s Literature in the Arab World, Fairytales and their documentation as children’s literature and personal experiences on writing and illustrating for children.

Al Seeb Basic School has invited Dr. Saida Khatir, Azhar Ahmed, and Ibtihaj Al Harthi to an open  discussion on reading for children. The discussion touched on topics like early reading for children, the significance of reading on the individual and society, and how the three authors were personally touched by reading in their career in writing.
